11. LIFE: Tinder

Tinder, tinder, tinder. I most definitely have a love hate relationship with tinder. When I first found about this app (there are newer ones now but I still think this is the most prominent and most used!) I literally laughed and thought it was so sad. A few months went by and it got increasingly bigger, so one drunken night I downloaded it as I just had to see what the fuss was all about.
Ok so first of all, it is addictive. I seemed to be swiping left and right on the bus home, waiting in a queue and even in a lecture at uni. And the worst of it is, I don't even know why I was doing it. I wasn't that keen on finding someone and especially someone that had a crap chat up line which involved some crap reference to sex. It's quite concerning actually that I spent so much time on it when I look back.
We have all heard the failures as well as the success stories. I personally have only been on one 'tinder date' which was pretty awkward, but someone of my friends have been on a string of pretty successful dates and have got drinks or dinner out of it. As a single girl in London, it should be great shouldn't it? Well apparently not and I'm also not sure if it's the way forward for a lasting relationship.
I think maybe we are just all a bit bored? I think that was why I used tinder, to kill time. As I don't have as much time anymore, tinder has well and truely been deleted and I would like to apologise to any 'tinder boys' I used to decrease my boredom (hahaha!!!)
Maybe we should all just start talking to each other in person?! Food for thought.
