If there is one thing I love more than a palette, oh wait, there isn't. If I was stuck on a desert island and had to bring limited supplies, I am not even joking, an eye shadow palette would probably be on it. I am usually armed with about six and that takes up ALOT of space in my suitcase, but I just always feel I need to have a shade for any occasion. I think that what I love about eye shadow palettes is firstly the choice but secondly that they can completely transform your face, day to night, work to going out, blah blah blah - you get the picture. I thought that I would give a round up of some of the palettes I have tried and tested. This also may be a good way for you to plan a pressie for a equally obsessive palette lover!
1. Urban Decay Naked 3 - Yep, the favourite and a go to product of mine. Obviously all the palettes are lovely but I just think this one has such a great selection. What I really love about this eye shadow is that it actually stays on your eye lids, which is a start! My favourite colours are Dust and Buzz but I am such a classic 'pink' girl that it isn't much of a surprise. I haven't extended to Naked 2 yet but it is on my Christmas list!
2. Make Up Revolution 2016 Collection - So I hadn't really heard of this brand before but I got this in my stocking last year as a little pressie. It is a lot cheaper than brands such as Urban Decay so I thought I would give it a whirl [it also had the added advantage of holding 144 eye shadows!]. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how good the eye shadow was! Naturally there was a lot of choice so it was great for blending. However one problem with 144 eye shadows - you don't always like them all!!!
3. MUA Undressed - I have been using this palette for absolutely years as when I was at uni I was on a lot smaller budget. Again, I really like this palette - however, I do find that the eye shadow doesn't stay on for that long. I now mainly use it as a base coat or to highlight underneath my eyebrows. However, great if you want to experiment with what looks best on your eyes!
Has anyone else tried some great palettes recently? I am always keen to find out about new ones!
