Natural drinks are a Virtue: A review
__________

Just before Christmas, I was received a lovely package in the post but unfortunately I got all caught up with the festivities that I have only had a change to review it recently!

Now I personally don't drink fizzy drinks that often and stick to sparkling water as I just love it. As I have already mentioned, I am always intrigued in new products, particularly natural food or beverage products so I jumped at the opportunity to review a couple of products from Virtue, a natural energy water.

So here are the facts and what you really want to know about the brand. Virtue energy water comes in two flavours and has:

  • Zero sugar
  • Zero calories
  • No sweeteners
  • Natural energy
  • NOTHING artificial

Yep that's right! Each can contains the same amount of natural caffeine as your regular cup of coffee, how amazing is that?! Definitely something I need on a Monday morning before work!

So what did I think?

I was given the energy water in both flavours, lemon and lime as well as berries [both of which I like which was a good start!] I was warned that the taste was subtle, so I wasn't surprised that the the taste was actually very similar to sparkling water. Even though the taste was subtle, it was still clear there was natural flavour, particularly on the berries flavoured energy water. I personally enjoyed the drink but it may be a bit bitter for some people, especially if you are used to having drinks with artificial sweeteners!

I thought I would try this product further by testing it before I went to work and also before I went to the gym, this was my verdict;

Gym: I had this just before an evening gym class and actually it did make me feel like I had a lot more energy than usual!

Work: I had this at 3pm at work and I have to admit it didn't manage to get me out of the slump. However, it was on the Thursday before Christmas!

This product is a lovely natural pick me up which I genuinely enjoyed. The taste might not be to everyone's liking [my dad found it a bit bitter!] but I believe that you get used to it after a few sips. I would completely recommend this product if you need that extra kick to get out of a slump but don't rely on it!

I also absolutely love that with every can sold, Virtue donate 500L of clean drinking water to those in need with drop4drop. It is great when brands have initiatives like this and I applaud them for this!

  7. It's amazing how they have no calories or anything artificial at all, that already makes them a brilliant option for enjoying. And then on top of that they contain caffeine! Great review :)
