Summer Bod Ready

Well where to begin? It all started so well in January, I was going to be a good stone lighter by the time I went on holiday [to cure my writers block]- lol good joke. So since Christmas I been working up to this 'big holiday' [even though I will probably have another hundred 'big holidays' in my lifetime]. I had a good few months battling with diets, extreme exercise and the list just goes on and on. I always get into this horrible cycle and end up eating a whole tub of Ben and Jerry's in the space of 3 minutes whilst feeling terribly guilty for the next 3 months. I am the 2018 Bridget Jones.

However, after having numerous ups and downs throughout these few months, I have come to realise that having a summer bod is not the be all and end all. Of course, I don't want to look like a beached whale in my bikini but there is so much more to life. Am I right or am I right?

Firstly, I have a working body, lets be grateful and leave that to that. Secondly, having a balanced diet should be a lifestyle, I personally really enjoy eating healthily and feel so good when I do it. I shouldn't not allow myself treats now and again because I'm going to be honest, when I do this I just look for the nearest supermarket and end up buying said thing in bulk. Silly I know but once I tell myself I can't have something, I just want it more. Thirdly, exercise has many different benefits. As well as feeling good and toning up etc, it is a massive stress relief and I believe really helps me focus in my job.

So lets just chill - as there is more things to worry about than making sure we are in shape for the summer months [and lets not forget... it will be winter before we know it!]
